ViralVault.tech — Terms of Service
Effective date: June 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "reader") and Mo Sharif ("ViralVault," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the website and newsletter at ViralVault.tech (the "Service").
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By visiting ViralVault.tech, subscribing to our newsletter, watching our published editions, or purchasing a PRO subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Age requirement. The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or at least 16 if you are in the European Union). By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. What the Service is
ViralVault is a free daily AI and tech news briefing. We publish two editions per day — a morning edition (around 6:00 AM ET) and an evening edition (around 6:00 PM ET). Each edition is presented as a cinematic, scroll-through "broadcast" designed for developers, and each edition is also recorded and published as a video on YouTube.
The Service exists to surface the signal, not the noise. We curate, summarize, and link to AI and technology news.
We offer two ways to follow along:
- Free reading on the website and YouTube — open to everyone, no account required.
- Email newsletter (free tier) — sign up with your email to receive editions in your inbox. The free tier includes 5 editions. After that, a PRO subscription is required to keep receiving editions by email.
- PRO subscription — an optional paid plan (see Section 4) for continued, ongoing delivery.
We may change, add, or discontinue features, editions, or the schedule at any time (see Section 11).
3. The email list and your subscription
3.1 Signing up
To receive editions by email, you provide your email address through our signup form. That is the only information we collect from free readers. We use it to deliver the newsletter and related service messages.
3.2 Free tier limit
The free email tier includes up to 5 editions. After your 5th edition, continued email delivery requires a PRO subscription.
3.3 Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, for any reason. We aim to align with CAN-SPAM and GDPR requirements. Unsubscribing stops newsletter emails; it does not, by itself, cancel a paid PRO subscription — to stop PRO billing, see Section 4.3.
3.4 Accuracy
Please use a valid email address that you own or are authorized to use.
4. PRO subscription terms
4.1 Price and billing
PRO is a recurring subscription costing $5.00 per month (USD). Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number; Stripe handles the payment and we retain only a Stripe customer reference. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms.
4.2 Auto-renewal
PRO renews automatically each month and your payment method is charged each billing cycle until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize these recurring charges.
4.3 Cancellation
You can cancel anytime. PRO is managed through Stripe, so cancellation happens on Stripe's side rather than through an account on ViralVault.tech. To cancel, either:
- use the Stripe billing/customer portal (for example, via the "Manage subscription" or billing-management link Stripe provides in your payment receipt or subscription emails), or
- email us at hello@viralvault.tech and we will action your cancellation through Stripe.
Cancelling stops future billing — you will not be charged for any cycle that begins after you cancel. You generally retain PRO access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
4.4 Refunds
Subscription fees are billed in advance for each monthly period. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Cancelling prevents future charges but does not refund the current period unless the law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
4.5 Price changes
We may change the PRO price. If we do, we will give you reasonable advance notice, and any new price will apply to billing cycles after the notice period. You can cancel before a price change takes effect if you do not agree to it.
5. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights;
- scrape, harvest, resell, or systematically copy our content, the email list, or the Service except as expressly allowed;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
- use bots or automated means to abuse signups, billing, or delivery;
- introduce malware or attempt to interfere with the Service's security or integrity;
- impersonate ViralVault or misrepresent your affiliation with us;
- use the Service to send spam or to harass others.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these rules (see Section 12).
6. Intellectual property
6.1 Our content and brand
The original content we create — including our editorial writing, summaries, commentary, presentation, layout, design, the "ViralVault" name, logo, and branding — is owned by Mo Sharif or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and read it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without our permission, except for normal personal sharing (for example, sharing a link).
6.2 Third-party material
The Service references, excerpts, and links to news from third parties. Article excerpts, headlines, quotes, images, trademarks, and links belong to their respective owners and publishers, and are used to inform and to point you to the original sources. We claim no ownership of that third-party material, and your use of it is subject to the rights and terms of those owners. We are not responsible for third-party websites we link to.
6.3 Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them freely to improve the Service, without obligation to you.
7. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service:
- Stripe — processes PRO payments. We store only a Stripe customer reference, never card numbers.
- Resend — handles email delivery and our contact list.
- Supabase — stores subscriber records (email, plan, and the count of editions sent).
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- GitHub Actions — runs our build and publishing automation.
- YouTube — hosts our recorded editions.
We do not sell your personal data, do not run third-party advertising networks, and do not use third-party analytics or tracking/marketing cookies. We use only essential and functional technology. These third parties have their own terms and privacy practices, which apply to your use of their portions of the Service. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided for general informational purposes only. ViralVault curates and summarizes news; it does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to take any action. You are responsible for verifying information and for any decisions you make.
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, timely, secure, or free of errors, or that content (including summaries of third-party news) is complete or accurate.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mo Sharif and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for PRO in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mo Sharif from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including editions, the schedule, features, or the free tier — at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and unsubscribe.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, unsubscribe from emails, and cancel PRO through Stripe (see Section 4.3). We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where we reasonably need to (for legal, security, or operational reasons). Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by, and interpreted under, the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled in the courts of the State of Colorado, United States, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
14. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to control how it is used. EU/UK users have rights under the GDPR, and California users have rights under the CCPA. You can also unsubscribe at any time and request access to or deletion of your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise these rights.
15. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer.
